Ok this is what you want to do..
1. Make sure you have Holy Veil already cast on yourself as you approach either Golems or Ice Imps. (of course you want to avoid them if at all possible)
2. Regen some energy, probably at least 10.
3. Run in without a running skill on.. you want to save these.
4. Let the first slow hex hit you, wait it out. (this won't take long due to Lieutenant's on your helm)
5. Hit your run skill as soon as you are up to normal speed.
6. As the next slow hex comes at you, double click to remove Holy Veil.
7. Start strafing back and forth like mad as you run, this *really* helps ditch the monsters. They give up easier on a fast moving, slippery target.
7. If a 3rd hex comes at you, use Remove Hex.
If a 4th comes at you, usually all you can do is wait and tank it out.
Hope this helps.
Also gear is not that important.. You can run this without monk skills at level 16 or so with practice. You'll quickly find that Balanced Stance is the most important skill on your bar.
Practice practice practice! Don't give up, it may take you dozens of tries before you have a good success rate.
Once you're a good runner, you'll be even better when you get Nightfall and or Eye of the North.

It used to provide energy bonuses which made it ideal for running. Since the introduction of insignias, not so much... I still prefer the skin, though.

It is still a good idea to have the energy and you will mostly be using energy based skills. You could get a totem axe to help in this as well or a good staff. There is wand outside of Noloni Academy that gives you+5 energy also it is a good idea to have a staff.

sorry to bring back a dead thread. I started guild wars before i found this forum. I currently have a W/N build. After reading on here for a while, i wish it were a W/Mo build. Anyways, will it be possible to run with W/N? From what ive found, a Nec doesnt have any skills to remove Hex's, which i feel will be what kills me on some of the harder runs. Anyone know of W/N runners?

No you can't as a W/N but you can change your secondary later on after you ascend. These are the skills you will need my post for W/Mo.
